Jinli Qu is an internationally respected soprano, opera performer, music director, and television director whose distinguished career spans opera, television, live productions, and international cultural exchange. With decades of experience in the performing arts, she has become recognized for her exceptional vocal artistry, artistic leadership, and dedication to promoting music and culture across the world.

A graduate of the prestigious Vocal Performance and Opera Department of the Central Conservatory of Music, Jinli studied under two of China’s most celebrated vocal educators, Professor Ye Peiying and Professor Li Weibao. Her rigorous classical training laid the foundation for a remarkable professional career in opera and performing arts.

Following graduation, Jinli joined the Air Force Song and Dance Troupe, where she toured nationally in the acclaimed opera Sister Jiang and performed the leading role in the opera Snowy Plateau Storm. She also participated in the All-Army Arts Festival and appeared in numerous cultural performances and television productions broadcast by China Central Television (CCTV).

Expanding her artistic career beyond the stage, Jinli later became a director at the Beijing Television Arts Center, where she played an important role in producing some of China’s most prestigious televised cultural events. Among her notable achievements, she directed the recording of legendary tenor Luciano Pavarotti’s final solo concert in Beijing and interviewed and recorded internationally renowned pianist Lang Lang during his recital at the Great Hall of the People. She also served on the directing teams for major productions including the Beijing Television Spring Festival Gala and the Mid-Autumn Festival Gala, showcasing her expertise in large-scale live entertainment.

In recent years, Jinli has continued to inspire audiences internationally through both performance and artistic leadership. Her recent accomplishments include:

• 2024 – Soprano Soloist and Music Director for the New York Chinese New Year Gala.
• 2025 – Featured Soprano Soloist at the Southern California Chinese New Year Gala – Hometown Feelings, Affection for Irvine.
• March 2025 – Judge for the Semi-Finals of the 6th Southern California College Alliance “Sing If You Want” Vocal Competition, mentoring and encouraging the next generation of vocal talent.
• 2026 – Returned as a featured soloist for the Chinese New Year Gala – Hometown Feelings, Affection for Irvine, along with performances at numerous international cultural and artistic events.

Today, Jinli Qu continues to bridge cultures through music, using her extraordinary voice and artistic vision to connect audiences across continents. Her lifelong commitment to excellence has made her a respected figure in the international performing arts community and an inspiring ambassador for cultural exchange.
