Born in Dallas, Texas, to Enrique and Ofelia Delorbe—Argentinian immigrants who came to the United States in pursuit of the American Dream—Akusaa Powell grew up surrounded by the rich fusion of Latin passion and American musical diversity. Her family later settled in Los Angeles, California, where Akusaa’s artistic journey truly began.

From an early age, Akusaa discovered her love for music. She began singing as a child and by the age of nine was already taking guitar lessons, nurturing a natural gift that would later evolve into a captivating career. Her “sultry” and soulful voice has graced television, radio, and live concert stages, enchanting audiences with a blend of emotional depth and international flair.

In her latest musical venture, Akusaa founded Club Akusaa, an ensemble that brings together rhythm, energy, and heart. The group features her husband, Warfus Powell—a renowned percussionist, music producer, and martial arts master—and Mark Muro, a talented drummer whose dynamic beats complement Akusaa’s signature sound. Together, they create an immersive experience that bridges cultures and genres, from Latin soul to world fusion.

Today, Akusaa continues to evolve as both a performer and recording artist. She has recently joined Samira’s Network as an official musician and will perform live at the highly anticipated Luxury Oscars Gala 2026, an event celebrating art, achievement, and global excellence.
